Don't miss the Community Voices Panel TONIGHT 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM in the BMMS cafeteria
Can you walk a mile in another person's shoes?
They say you cannot really understand another person's experience until you've walked a mile in their shoes.
While this tells us that it's nearly impossible to feel exactly what someone else is experiencing, it also tells us how necessary it is to create forums for sharing, listening, and dialogue. With this in mind, Burleigh Manor's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee will be hosting an in-person "Community Voices" Panel discussion on Wednesday, November 2 from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM in the cafeteria. The panel will be made up of students, staff, and community members representing diverse voices and experiences. We hope by engaging in dialogue and learning from one another, we will collectively foster a culture of understanding and empathy. We are inviting speakers who are willing to speak about their experiences from the perspective of race, ethnicity, language, religion, ability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or anything else they would like to share. Please join us, and feel free to bring your family.
