Resources for Families

If students are looking to continue learning from their first semester courses or want to practice or review over the summer, the following resources may be useful. These sites include the curriculum standards, links to a variety of resources, including videos and practice/extension activities, that students and families can use to review concepts and skills.

Student Immunization Update

A note from the Health Room: A friendly reminder, the State of Maryland mandates full compliance for mandatory immunizations for every student for who plans to attend in school learning. Please email if you are unsure of your student’s status. The Howard County Health Department offers immunizations to eligible children through 18 years old who meet the following criteria:

  • No health insurance
  • Medical Assistance
  • Health care that doesn’t cover vaccines.

Please call the HCHD at 410-313-7500 for vaccine appointments. Currently appointments are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You will need to bring a copy of your child’s immunization record and accompany them to the appointment. A copy of all new immunizations should be provided to the health room to update your child’s school record.

Children with private health insurance should schedule appointments with their primary care provider for required immunizations.
