Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is there a charge for the bus?
The bus is free to all students who typically access the bus during the regular school year.

2. Does the bus stop at the regular bus stops?
Because of the number of students and the large regional area, the bus is routed once we know who will be accessing this service.  The bus company creates ‘cluster stops’ that are relatively close to the regular bus stops.  Last year, the stops included:
Rt. 108/Manor Ln
Independence Way
Old Annapolis Road/Squirrel Hill
Old Annapolis Road/Woodland
Font Hill/Grosvenor
Font Hill/Timber Knoll
Font Hill/Grosvenor
Tuscany/Globe Dr.
144/Glory Days
144/Gray Rock
Plum Tree/Lowlen Ct.
Plum Tree/Harrison
Chatham Apts. (front entrance)
Bethany Ln/Fox Den
Bethany Ln/Patuxent Overlook
Old Ellicott Circle
144/Cornell Cr.

3. Where can I pick up my child if he/she is a car rider?
In order to maintain supervision, all students should be picked up on the bus lane on the far end of the school.  Students will not be on the Centennial High School side of the building for pick up.  Please note, this is different than the normal pick-up location for most activities.

4. Does my child have to attend every day?
We recognize that the students are involved in many other activities after school.  Students do not have to attend every session.  Students are welcome to attend as frequently as they can.

5. Is anyone available to help my child?
We do have high school volunteers who will help students.  Their schedules vary.
