American Education Week

Fri, 11/11/2022 - 11:29am

The Howard County Public School System celebrates American Education Week from November 14 through November 18. Burleigh Manor Middle School invites parents and guardians to attend any of your student’s classes during the week to experience a day in the life of a middle school student. We would like to encourage visits to be on Tuesday, November 15, though you are welcome to come any day of the week.

All visitors are asked to do the following for their American Education Week visit:

  • Plan your visit between 8:15 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Only parents and legal guardians are permitted to visit during this time. We are unable to accommodate siblings during this event.
  • Go directly to the front office to sign in upon arrival.
  • Please have your photo ID with you when you come to sign into our LobbyGuard system.
  • Bring a copy of your student’s class schedule; you can access this information electronically through your HCPSS Connect account.
  • Our class schedule for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday can be found HERE.
  • Our class schedule for Wednesday (Bobcat Time Day) can be found HERE.
  • Refrain from using your cell phone during your visit. This includes taking photos, videos, or any type of recording during your visit.
  • You are welcome to eat lunch with your student if you are here through your student’s lunch period.
  • You will need to return to the front office and sign out of the LobbyGuard system when you are done with your visit.

We look forward to welcoming you for your visit during American Education Week!
