Dear Burleigh Manor Community,
This afternoon, the HCPSS Board of Education, made several administrative changes, which included my transfer from the principal of Burleigh Manor Middle School to the principal of Dunloggin Middle School effective July 1, 2018. It has been a pleasure to serve as principal of Burleigh Manor Middle School for the last two years. I have been fortunate to work with a dedicated team of teachers and staff that value the success of our students. I appreciate the ongoing support I have received from the community and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Your commitment to our students, teachers, and staff continues to be an invaluable asset to our community.
I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you for supporting my leadership at BMMS over the past two years. I feel honored to have been given the opportunity to work in this wonderful community. I will cherish the relationships I have forged with the students, parents, and staff during my time at BMMS. I will truly miss each and every one of you.
During this transition, I will continue to serve our students, parents, and staff with the same dedication and enthusiasm. I will work diligently to ensure the transition is smooth for the new leadership at BMMS. With that said, I am pleased to welcome Mikaela Lidgard as the new principal of Burleigh Manor Middle School effective July 1, 2018. Ms. Lidgard, was a former teacher at Cradlerock Elementary School and served as Special Education Instructional Team Leader at Patapsco Middle School before being promoted to Assistant Principal at Hammond High School. Ms. Lidgard, has been the Assistant Principal at Hammond High School for several years but is very excited to come back to middle school.
Again, I am sincerely thankful to have served the Burleigh Manor community for the last two years as principal. I appreciate your support, commitment, and passion for our students. I will hold near and dear to my heart the memories of my time at BMMS.
